Wedding Gifts for Couples Off Registry

unique wedding gifts
Sometimes buying a wedding gift from a registry just isn't plausible. We've all been there, the wedding registry is bought out, all that's left are small gadgets, or there isn't a registry or at least one that you can find. No matter the reason for going off registry, it can be overwhelming, and you don't want to show up empty handed or worse, with something they completely hate.

When I was in college I had to go off registry a couple times, and looking back I'm pretty sure they opened my gift and thought it was so random. You have to think, these people have carefully picked everything out for their new home and your unplanned gift may not fit in. Yes, it's always the thought that counts the most, however, you also don't want them regifting your carefully chosen random item to Goodwill, which is where I'm pretty sure mine ended up.

"Personalization can quickly take a random gift and make it a well loved one".
What I should have done was look for a gift that was personal. Personalization can quickly take a random gift and make it a well loved one. Even if they have 3 others of what you buy on the registry, they most likely won't have their new family name beautifully printed on them. This is why I'm sharing types of personalized gifts to have top of mind the next time you find yourself off registry.

Family Name & Established Date Gifts

It seems like as soon as they say I do the bride is already changing her name on Facebook, I know I did, so she's sure to appreciate any gift with her new name or monogram.

Household Extracurriculars

These items sometimes get overlooked or cut out when couples are registering for gifts. For some of these you may need to know their style a bit, however, something simple, like guest soaps, can work with any house decor.
